Mia Cucina Identity

For my senior thesis I was assigned to design identity pieces for a theoretical company called Mia Cucina. Based on the concept of several existing companies, at Mia Cucina the customers come to a shared kitchen where they make meals for the upcoming weeks. The ingredients are all measured and ready to go, so the customers save time by not having to shop or prepare, as well as from making weeks worth of food in one visit. Also, it is marketed as a healthy alternative to eating out. The main customer base is mothers who want to make meals themselves but don't have the time. Below are the pieces I designed.

Packaging, menu, and calendar:

The packaging includes two parts: a sticker to put on reusable plastic containers to mark the date and contents, and a large bag to carry the containers in. The menu changes monthly, detailing the meals available to cook at the moment.

Mia Cucina Calendar

For one of my pieces, I decided to design a promotional calendar that would be distributed to potential customers. Since the target group for this service is always busy, something to help them plan would be a useful item they would keep, and subsequently be reminded of Mia Cucina. The calendar is a small size to be portable, but still large enough to take notes on or to hang on the refrigerator. Of course, hanging on the refrigerator in the kitchen is another perfect placement for a food service advertisement.

This promotional poster focuses on what I considered to be the main draw of Mia Cucina: eating home-made dinner together as a family.
