Godiva holiday packaging and advertorial
This was a class assignment to design a theoretical winter packaging for Godiva and then use it in an advertorial two page spread.
The packaging uses a shape provided to our class by an employee from Godiva's packaging department who also made sure we followed Godvia's guidelines for fonts and printing. I selected cool, wintery colors with elegant windy designs. I tried to avoid the usual religious representation to reach a wider audience, as well as not use the typical winter symbols like snowmen or fireplaces. Since Godiva creates new holiday packaging each year, this approach helps keep design elements from becoming stale by avoiding the obvious.
The advertorial's layout mirrors the simplicity of the package, and I also wrote tag lines for the title and heading. |
